The Mauritian authorities are fighting not to spill all the oil from a Japanese ship that crashed a few days ago.

On July 25, the MV Wakashio crashed into a coral reef off the coast of Mauritius. The problem is that the ship was carrying 4,000 tons of gasoline, which quickly began to spill into the ocean.
Since then, the authorities have been doing their best to prevent all the fuel from ending up at sea. The ship is badly damaged and there is a risk that it will break in two and as if that were not enough, yesterday the prime minister gave very bad news.
What did he say? That 3,000 of the 4,000 tons of fuel have already ended up in the waters of the Indian Ocean and that only a small part remains inside the ship.
