On July 7th of 1961, New Zeland's Labour Party was founded in Wellington.

The New Zealand Labor Party is a New Zealand political party. It is described as center-left and social liberal. It is currently the country's ruling party, in a coalition with New Zealand First and Aotearoa's Green Party, with 46 of New Zealand's 120 seats in Parliament, after the 2017 elections.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is the party's leader and the 17th Labour PM.
